KEYNOTE CLUB

Where Kids Play, Sing and Move!

Piano Lessons Perfect for Beginner Students in Grades K-1.

Your child will have a blast with our fun, game-filled introduction to piano playing! Our curriculum is developmentally fitting with both "comfort and challenge" for the young beginner. Lessons prepare students to transition smoothly into the Piano Club format as soon as they're ready. Through play, singing, and movement—what children do best—students explore music in a fun and interactive way. Our classes are collaborative, enriching, and most importantly, enjoyable, setting the stage for a lifelong love of music!

PROGRAM FEATURES

Using the My First Piano Adventures series, your child’s playful spirit will shine through as they explore the five “friends at the piano,” engage with fun songs, and enjoy rhythm and technique games. Our guiding acronym, S.P.I.R.I.T., brings learning to life:

At mfMusic Studio, every aspect of learning is crafted to be meaningful, memorable, and fun—giving your child a foundation that’s not only technically strong but also joyfully creative.

🎤 Singing – The Most Natural Instrument
Singing adds joy, focus, and helps create a strong sense of camaraderie, nurturing a “musical heart and mind” essential for young musicians. It’s a wonderful way to connect with the music and build bonds with fellow students from the very start.

🎹 Playing – 10 Fingers, 88 Keys!
Rather than limiting young students to a small set of notes, we encourage exploration of the entire keyboard. With engaging songs and activities that build progressively, your child will make steady technical progress across the keys.

▶️ In Motion – Learning with Energy & Fun
Songs are introduced with simple body movements to express lyrics, keeping children engaged and focused. Music circle time includes fun manipulatives and creative writing activities to make each concept stick.

🎵Rhythm – Energetic and Fun
Students first express rhythm with large muscle movements, gradually refining it with individual finger muscles. From playing a big drum to stomping “dinosaur” quarter notes, rhythm becomes a full-body, exciting experience.

🔎 I-See – A Musical Scavenger Hunt
Using a playful, investigative approach, we encourage students to spot patterns, lines, spaces, dynamics, and other elements in the music. This approach turns spotting the basics into a fun, flawless experience, building confidence with each piece.

🫳🏼 Technique – Playful and Purposeful
Technique comes alive with imaginative metaphors: pressing chocolate chips into clay for firm fingertips, doing a “cat back” for posture, and creating rainbow wrist motions. Each technique exercise is designed to be purposeful while tapping into a child’s spirit of play.

Where Keynote Club Leads...

KeyNote Club is the first step in our complete piano pathway.

As students develop confidence reading music, playing with healthy technique, and learning independently, they're preparing for their next adventure—Piano Club.

Because students already understand our routines, musical vocabulary, and learning approach, the transition feels natural. Instead of starting over, they simply build on the strong foundation they've already created.

Many of our KeyNote Club graduates move into Piano Club with confidence, ready to learn more music, become increasingly independent, and enjoy making music alongside friends.

KeyNote Club → Piano Club → Solo Piano

A clear pathway for years of musical growth.
